Turkey is mediating between Russia and Ukraine, and it seems that its efforts may bear fruit, especially after a phone call between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in which he informed him of Moscow's demands to reach a peace agreement with the Ukrainian side. The Russian demands fall into two categories.
