Canadian labor market data better than expected in January

Data released by Statistics Canada on Friday showed that Canada's unemployment rate fell to 5.5% in January from 5.6% in December, exceeding market expectations at 5.6%.

The USD / CAD pair lost ground after the data and fell to the 1.3280 region.
