The semi-official Fars news agency reported that Iran tested the Zul-Janah satellite launch vehicle for research purposes for the second time on Sunday. The Wing is the first satellite carrier rocket in Iran that works with a mixture of solid and liquid fuels. It is also the largest solid-fuel missile in the arsenal of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The satellite carrier with a wing has a length of 25.5 meters and a weight of 52 tons. The vehicle is capable of carrying one satellite weighing 220 kilograms, or about 10 small satellites, to an orbit 500 kilometers from the Earth's surface. It will be launched for the first time into outer space for research purposes in 2021.
