Sajid Javed suddenly resigned from the post of UK Chancellor on Thursday after a brutal power struggle with Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his chief adviser Dominic Cummings on how to manage the country's finances in the wake of Britain's exit from the European Union. His sudden departure, after only eight months of operation, disrupts budget plans on March 11.
Mr. Javed was immediately replaced by Rishi Snack, the close ally of the Prime Minister who approved Johnson's plan to take over the Chancellor's office.
