And the Federal Authority in the United States grants its citizens an official holiday on the third Monday of February of each year, to celebrate the " Presidents ' Day "
The holiday has been adopted by the United States since 1885 , but this date does not extend to all states, as some celebrate the occasion on February 12 , which marks the birthday of Abraham Lincoln, the sixteenth president .
As a result, US stocks will be closed throughout the day
