The Chinese authorities have announced a significant increase in the number of deaths from the emerging coronavirus, since the death toll from the deadly virus and in one day 242 people arrived in Hubei Province on Wednesday.
This is the largest death toll in a single day from the deadly virus since it began spreading. And the incidence increased significantly, as 14,839 new cases were recorded.
The CPC Central Committee sacked the party official in Hubei, Jiang Zhaoliang, to be replaced by Shanghai Mayor Ying Yong, according to government media.
The change was announced shortly after the high incidence and deaths were reported.
